About Our Lab
The Epilepsy and Cognition (ECoG) Lab operates within the Epilepsy Center and the Department of Neurology at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and is led by Dr. Barbara Jobst.
The ECoG lab is one of the only research labs in New England pushing the boundaries of knowledge and discovery in epilepsy research. We collect and focus on electrical data from patient’s brains to not only understand the effects of epilepsy on cognition, but also identify key findings in memory and attention. In addition, we explore various brain neurostimulation techniques to determine its impact on epilepsy and cognition.
